Andrew is a recognised world leader in creating authentic cultural tourism experiences. An MBA graduate from the University of Waikato, he has sat on numerous Government Tourism Advisory Boards and continues to be a speaker on cultural tourism and the importance of ecological and historical preservation and sustainability. Andrew has been involved in Government and Industry forums both in New Zealand and off shore and is contributor/speaker to various educational institutions, such as Stanford University, The University of Hawaii and other tertiary institutions.
For five years Andrew was the Chief Executive Officer of New Zealand’s largest and most successful cultural tourism business, Te Puia, steering it through a $23 million redevelopment and creating a highly successful cultural tourism business attracting annually over 500,000 visitors.

Glenn has over 25 years experience in the tourism industry. Prior to joining the Department of Discovery, Glenn was General Manager, Waitaki Development Board, General Manager Sales and Marketing Manager, Te Puia,
Previously he was General Manager, Tourism Whitsunday’s and Regional Director New Zealand for Air Pacific.
He has been Board Member of Conventions and Incentives, NZ Board Member of the Association of Australian Convention Bureau’s and Member of the Industry Advisory Committee, University of Otago.
Peter Anderson Group Brand Development Manager
Peter specializes in marketing, brand and business development. Those interests have seen him study at I.M.D, Switzerland and visit INSEAD in France, Henley College, England and Duke University, North Carolina, USA.
Peter has held fulltime executive marketing and general management roles in the construction and wine industry and in horticulture (sales $1.5billion).
Peter has undertaken assignments both on and off shore with travel/tourism wholesale and retail companies as well as destination tourism operators. He has extensive experience in leading organisational change.
Fiona Cameron General Manager - Research
Commencing her market research career in New Zealand and then moving to South East Asia, Fiona is a research professional with extensive experience in quantitative and qualitative methodologies across many different industry sectors and products. She has worked in executive roles for Colmar Brunton and AC Nielsen.
Fiona has held senior research and operations positions in Malaysia, Shanghai and in Taiwan. Most recently, she was Executive Director, Global Product Management and Development for The Nielsen Company.

Maureen Brennan General Manager
Maureen has a 25 year tourism career background in New Zealand and Australia in both the private and public sectors. She has held senior management roles including General Manager Business Tourism for a statutory tourism organization responsible for the Destination MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions) and she has held Director of Sales and Marketing roles for leading international hotel brands Hilton and Carlton Asia Pacific.
As a strong advocate of the tourism industry and with great understanding of different consumer segments and industry sectors, Maureen is a regular contributor to business event forums.

Thomas is a principal of Warnick + Company and Managing Director of Department of Discovery USA. He is currently doing strategic planning and asset management for several major properties including the Keauhou Beach Resort in Hawai‘i and has extensive experience working with indigenous people. He is Chairman Emeritus of the International Society of Hospitality Consultants (ISHC) and a CCIM, with a 38+year dedication to the hospitality business.
